OUR STORY

After countless conversations about worth and identity with many people in her life, Amanda felt the need for greater discussion around this topic. She saw that struggling with worth and identity reached across generations and was causing roadblocks, killing joy, crushing purpose and in some cases, stealing life.

Not long after she pinpointed this root, Amanda found herself at a conference where in the midst of a worship song the Lord dropped the idea of what she then called the Worth It Project into her heart. Not knowing exactly what it was going to look like or what to do with this very broad vision, in 2018, Amanda shared her heart with her dear friend Taffie and her sister Emily. They immediately shared her passion for this topic and encouraged Amanda to move on this idea. They knew that they didn't have all the answers but with a strong conviction and wisdom from those around them they were encouraged to build a ministry dedicated to taking back ground in this area! After holding this ever changing vision for 4 years, through encouragement, prayer and commitment to this idea they began building what is now Created Podcast.

Who we are

Amanda melbostad

Hi, I’m Amanda Melbostad. I am 26 years old and married to my husband Eric, the man of my dreams! We live in Florida with our sweet little pup and are so excited to be expecting our first baby early fall of 2022. I was born in Canada and moved to the US with my family in 2003 where Arizona became home. After graduating high school I joined YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Australia for just under 3 years. I studied Christian Ministries while being able to grow, learn and serve the nation of Papua New Guinea through government and corporate affairs. Those years shaped my heart and passion for discipleship and building the body of Christ not only through the individual but in the community and on to the nations. The following years I worked for a global event company raising money for large non-profits. I have had the privilege of traveling the world but I have to say there is no greater place I love more than being home with my family. You will often find me on FaceTime with friends and family, watching movies with homemade popcorn or researching random things!

Taffie Tamba

Hi, I’m Tafadzwa Tamba but commonly known as Taffie. I am 38 years old, a missionary and not married yet! I was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa and currently living in Papua New Guinea (PNG) where I helped pioneer a new base and a Discipleship Training School with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Social Work with Psychological Studies which I completed at the University of Cape Town, South Africa whilst also doing a two year bible course with my church.  I worked as a social worker for 9 years in England in the following fields: Child Protection, Drug and Alcohol Therapy, Adoption and Fostering Assessor, Mental Health community and psychiatric departments. During this time I was in full time ministry with my church as a youth leader, Community Liaison Leader, on the worship team and led our pastoral team. In 2015 I did a six month Discipleship Training School with YWAM (Australia)  which led me to serving with them for the past 7 years before moving to PNG. Although my life has been full so far with amazing adventures, at the core of it remains my love and passion for God, His people and discipleship. In all I do I desire to bring the love of Christ in a tangible way in all aspects of life whether I'm having a one to one chat with someone, teaching, baking or cooking, Christ is real and at the centre of it all.

Emily whitlow

Hi, I'm Emily Whitlow! I am 28 years old, I am married to my amazing husband Dallas and we have three beautiful children Ollie (4), Rosie (2), and baby Cooper. We live in the great state of Arizona. I attended Grand Canyon University on a soccer scholarship and graduated with my nursing degree. While I love nursing and the opportunity it gives me to care for others, I have many other passions. Number one would be raising my three babies. Being a mom has always been a dream for me ever since I was a little girl. For anyone who has kids you know that it is the best and hardest job. It has taught me more about the love of our Father than anything else I have experienced so far. Some other passions include working for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, watching or playing sports, girls night with my friends, and hosting people at our house. Dallas and I believe the more people around our home the merrier and love when it is filled with the sounds of littles playing.
